Whatever diet plan you use, cooking and eating healthy calls for changes like using healthier ingredients and cooking methods. It's also important to be selective on snack and party foods and choose healthier items on restaurant menus.
Amie Burr of Bryan was named the Weight Watchers Then Wow! winner for losing 86.4 pounds over 11 months following the Weight Watchers diet plan.
She developed new eating patterns by eating three to five times a day. "Before, I ate once a day," she says. "That's not good for your body."
She also started eating breakfast around 7:30 a.m. followed by a 10:30 a.m. snack, lunch at about 1:30 p.m., a fruit snack at 4 p.m., and dinner between 7 and 8 p.m. She prepared healthy options instead of heavier sauces, substituted salsa for sour cream on baked potatoes, and cut out fried foods
